The streets of Paris are lined with trees, intriguing shops (with Eiffel tower in the backgroundapartments above them,) and elegant statues, but the city’s most recognizable landmark is still the Eiffel Tower.

So Disney’s “Paris” had to have its own Eiffel Tower. The Imagineers created a 1/10th scale Eiffel Tower, using the architect’s original blueprints.

Eiffel Tower Trivia
The Eiffel Tower was officially opened on March 31, 1889 to celebrate the French Revolution at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.

The architect was Stephen Sauvestre but the tower was named for the  contractor who built it - Gustave Eiffel.  There are 1,665 steps to the top of the tower,
