This is not an error. In colonial times, 4 was shown as “IIII,” rather than “IV.”

Epcot's USA

The United States of America is a democracy and host to Disney World and therefore Epcot's World Showcase.

In 1776, 13 of Britain's New World colonies broke away from the motherland. They were recognized as The United States of America following the Treaty of Paris in 1783. Since then 37 additional states have joined the union.

The continental United States stretch from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and occupy the territory between Canada and Mexico. Alaska and Hawaii are also states in the union. The union also includes 1 district: Washington DC which is the seat of the federal government.
