You may not associate bathing suits with ski slopes, but you'll find both at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park. The theme is 'ski resort becomes beach resort' and you'll find frosty touches throughout the park.
Tube and body slides are named after ski slalom courses and bobsled runs. There's even a chairlift to take guests to the top of Mount Gushmore.
Here are some of the highlights: Summit Plummet - Minimum height is 48 inches This is one of the world's tallest and fastest free-fall slides! You'll roar down this slope at up to 60 miles per hour! (Bikinis not recommended)
Snow Stormers - Three 350 foot chutes thrust racers down this slalom course.
Teamboat Springs - My personal favorite! This is the longest family water raft in the world. It's fun - long - and not as hard on rear-ends as some of the other raft rides.
Runoff Rapids - A great tube ride!
Slush Gusher - Minimum height is 48 inches This water ride has moguls.
Toboggan Racer - Belly down for this one. You'll race headfirst down this course.
Downhill Double Dipper - Minimum height is 48 inches Race the clock as you speed down these tube slides at up to 25 miles per hour!
Cross Country Creek This lazy river raft ride circles the park.
Melt-Away Bay Swim, float or relax 0n a tube in this gentle wave pool.
Blizzard Beach Ski Patrol Training Camp This is the place to be for pre-teens. There's a zipline, and lots of water activities you won't find anywhere else. Tike's Peak - Maximum height is 48 inches You'll find scaled-down slides and water features here for the small fry. For more info check out:
