Did you know that a carousel (not a mouse) inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland?
Walt used to take his daughters to the park to ride the carousel on Saturdays. He would sit on a bench and watch the horses go round and round. He thought there should be a place where parents could play with their kids - instead of just watching. That was the idea that sparked a theme park revolution!
Cinderella's carousel was built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1917. Fifty years later, Walt bought it from Olympic Park in Maplewood, New Jersey. The horses are hand carved and painted.
Fun Fact: Cinderella's own carousel horse is in the second layer and has a golden bow on its tail.

It's called Cinderella's carousel but another famous character likes to ride it too!
