Purchase tickets to La Nouba Here.

The hottest ticket in town!

Seating is around the stage

Performance is on a semi-circular stage.

TIP: I think the best seats are a little higher up (not ground level) and in the center.

*The show is about 90 minutes long.  Content is appropriate for all ages but children under 3 may get fidgety.

Cirque du Soleil's 'La Nouba'
Rated: 10 out of 10                                Review by A.M. Hayes/ Nov. 2008

Cirque du Soleil's 'La Nouba' is to circus
As Disney World's 'Magic Kingdom'
is to theme parks.

The basic elements are similar but everything else is just beyond your wildest imagination!  This show is a definite "must-see!"

The show is made up of dozens of off-beat characters with strange talents. They've each pushed that talent to the edge and then twisted it in some weird way.  The result is performance art that will thrill, baffle and delight audiences of all ages. (I recommend a minimum age of 3 years.)*

There is so much action, you have to choose where to look. You'll hold your breath, cover your eyes and laugh out loud.

There are the usual circus elements like tight-rope walkers, trapeze artists, clowns, jugglers and acrobats.  In other circuses, each performs and leaves the stage.  In La Nouba they're more like citizens of some strange universe.  They are continually taking and leaving the stage. Sometimes they are major players, sometimes simply background art.

One cyclist rides across the stage upside down. Another cyclist climbs stairs and jumps over people - from a standing start!

Four young Chinese girls (8 to 10 years old) wowed the audience with an act that included dance, balancing and acrobatics while flinging a spinning  object into the air and catching it on a string.

No words on paper can truly capture the spirit and awe of La Nouba. The audience jumped to its feet at the end of the performance for a thunderous standing ovation. The performers beamed and you could see in their faces that they are just exactly where they want to be.

TIP: Snacks and drinks are available for sale and are allowed in the theater. (Even beer.)

TIP: Booster seats are available in the lobby. They are free to use for the performance.

TIP: Arrive at least 15 minutes before the performance.  Clowns begin their act in the audience 10 minutes before the show starts. (30 minutes is better so you avoid the crowd and have time to settle in with your snacks.)
