That big, round golf ball is called the geosphere (a term coined by the Imagineers) and it’s an incredible feat of Disney engineering. It’s also home to a ride called Spaceship Earth.
This newly updated adventure is now a must-see at Epcot. A slow-moving ride takes you up to the top of the geosphere and back. The theme is the evolution of communication. The robotics are new and the whole experience is greatly improved with lots of leading-edge technology. Project Tomorrow
When the ride is over, you'll enter a large room with lots of cool new games to play.TIP: Watch the large overhead screens to see yourself placed strategically on the globe and around the perimeter of the room.
