As you approach Disney's Mexico from the right - imagine you’re hacking your way through the lush jungle vegetation with a machete when -suddenly - you come upon a glorious pre-Colombian ruin!
That was the vision the Imagineers had for people approaching the Mexico pavilion.
The building was modeled after the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, which is located in the ancient city of Teotihuacan. The large feathered serpent heads near the entrance stairs represent Quetzalcoatl, the god of life.
This building houses a museum, a marketplace, a water ride attraction and an "open-air" restaurant where guests always dine in twilight.
