You'll either love or hate this newly refurbished ride. Animated dolls show costumes from around the world and sing the song that’s hard to get out of your head. This is a gentle boat cruise with a lovely “we’re all part of the same global family” theme.
History of the Attraction According to Wikipedia -
Walt Disney attended a conference with President Eisenhower in 1956. The theme was 'promoting world peace through international travel." Walt returned home to California and set to work on a new attraction he called "Children of the World."
The name was changed to "it's a small world" (Disney doesn't capitalize the title) after its theme song "It's a Small World after All."
The ride debuted as the Pepsi pavilion at the New York World's Fair in 1964.
Each Disney Resort around the world has its own version of "It's a Small World."
