Trivia
What does Brer (or Br’er) mean?
Answer:
Some people think it’s short for briar because Brer Rabbit and his pals come from the Briar Patch.
Actually, Brer means ‘brother,’ and is a term of respect used when greeting someone, as in:
”Good morning, brother Rabbit.”

Magic Kingdom Attractions:
Splash Mountain

This ride is a family favorite, especially on hot, sunny days. Based on the tale of Brer Rabbit, guests ride in logs through indoor places like The Briar Patch and The Laughing Place. Then they emerge into the sunshine for a few twists and drops before the big splash down near the end.

Everyone gets wet and a camera captures your expressions as you take that big plunge! Exit humming “Zippity-Doo Da!”

TIP: Visit the Dollar Store before your trip to pick up plastic ponchos for your crew. They'll keep you dry if it rains but they're also great for water rides! You have the fun of getting soaked with that uncomfortable clammy feeling afterwards.

TIP: While the big kids are riding Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the small fry can have their own fun in The Laughing Place. (A different Laughing Place than above) It's a special playground near the exit of Splash Mountain and is reserved for guests 40 inches and under!
