The thatched-roof cottage is a scaled-down version of the home Anne Hathaway lived in before (no- not ‘she starred in “The Princess Diaries”) she married William Shakespeare.

TIP: Be sure to leave the street and venture behind the main street for a few surprises.

There’s an entire row of Tudor, Georgian and Victorian town homes. You’ll swear you’re on the streets of London.

 

Gardens
Across the road is a secret garden, complete with a hedge maze for the children.

Winnie the Pooh characters and Mary Poppins are sometimes in the garden as well.
